Alton'Nar Oloth

Alton'Nar

History and concepts

This mysterious drow wizard prefers to rely on cold gazes instead of warmly smiles. He was once citizen of Menzoberranzan, the City of Spiders. It was a large underground drow city-state in the Upper Northdark. Menzoberranzan was possibly the most well known drow city in Faerûn. The city was mainly carved from calcite and it was filled with blue, green, and violet faerie fire. Buildings with often covered with the city's main motif: the spider, in honor of Lolth.

Wizardry is the only real way a male in a Lolthian society can gain any true power. Even the most experienced male general and veteran of many conflicts might be killed for an accidental insult to a spider-priestess, but a wizard of equal status is far more valuable simply because they are rarer and more useful. Still, even the most talented male wizard is technically a social inferior to the lowest female cleric -- a fact that the male wizards resent greatly.

Those who lived in Menzoberranzan would perhaps know about Jalynfein. He was a male drow wizard and perhaps the most powerful spellcaster in the city. There is a secretive history about Jalynfein and Alton'Nar certainly shares his thoughts and ideas, especially by the fact Alton was his student.

General aspects

He was once the Ul'Faeruk of Skikudis while serving the Au'Tics. He also wears red gloves imbued with arcane symbols. His staff is made of a mysterious material with an orb on its end where a glowing purple light can be seen.

By abusing his powers, Alton prefers to teleport between areas, but also to float instead of walking. And whenever his eyes are glowing purple, his skin gets dark on the cheeks, but it remains a bit light on the straight nose and around the eyes.

Personality

A drow male is faded to serve till the time of his death, so his soul could also serve Lloth in the afterlife, if She decides not to dispose of the useless one first.  But Alton has a strong personality. And because of that he's often having an internal battle to avoid his ego to overcome his goal.

Lights: It has occoured to me that people can't just accept that by playing a drow it doesn't mean you're 100% in agreement with the lore behind it. The reason ? People are not mature enouth to play torture or anything alike. If I see it worth I'll allow otherwise nonsense torture, humiliation and poor RP backup will be ignored.

RED: under any circunstance, regardless if it's RP consequence or not, NO FOR TORTURE OR MULTILATION.
