A gryphon! Not just any gryphon, one that spoke and thought like any other sapient humanoid. The only real difference was that he carried his slender body on four legs (and two wings from time to time) instead of two (and no wings).

As for the gryphon himself, his front half was brilliant white, with bars and the occasional little swirl of emerald green splashed across for flavor. His beak and scaled birdesque forefeet were a bold yellow, gleaming in any light they happened to be by; the gryphon clearly kept himself well groomed. Tawny fur and lion's paws made up his back half, whilst a long cat's tail ending in a stiff array of white and green feathers capped off an agile body made for twisting, moving, and flying! Shoulder topped out at four feet, rest of him sized appropriately, though he was a little longer than a horse of equivalent size.

Just about anyone who encountered him would find themselves being greeted by a cheerful "Hello!" half-sung, half-squawked out from his beak!
