Salistar Thorne

Portrait
Description
Decapitated, dismembered, dishonored.

Salistar Thorne was not a good man in life and death has done nothing to improve his disposition. A lich, though his ascension was interrupted leaving him a far more susceptiable to conventional weaponry than his kin, he crackles with arcane energy. His very existence an affront to all things good and pure, Thorne delights in the breaking of the servants of the Gods. He holds a particular hatred for those most dedicated to their dieties--the paladins and clerics who serve as the fist and mouth piece of those he would usurp (were it only in his power)--the same kind who distrubed his ritual and cursed him with his imperfect form.

A skull crowned by a halo of gold--clearly meant as a mockery of divinity itself--Salistar lost most of his body when his ritual was interrupted and, unfortunately for him, cannot complete his ascent to true lichdom until he collects the remenants of his immortal body which were stolen away from him by the servants of a righteous god. Besides his skull, his body is made of the dismembered body parts of other beings, poor substitues for his own flesh, but a nessacry stopgap measure to continue his quest. He favors pieces of paladins and clerics, in particular, merely because his hatred of them is so great. Still, he is not blinded by his hatred, and preaches patience above all. His greatest advantage is time, and he knows it well.
