              {Description}

Normally heavy foot steps would announce this creature's arrival, or the soft sound of clinking chains would fill the air, drawing their attention upon the oddly twisted, beautiful figure before them. Mortals would feel extreme dread fill their bones when he passed, and if they stared within the depths of his hood, that dread would manifest before their eyes. His features would often morph into hated enemies, regrets, dead ones, or their worse fears, and yet, in doing such, bliss would run through his body, seeming to give the nightmarish creature energy.

More often than not, this built creature's figure would have two, writhing, chains wrapped around his arms, each one wrapped in spikes. If watching them closely, they'd loosen, and tighten their coils around his arms, seeming to fall at ease when his fingers stroked over them. If one were to see him fall within his blissful state from feeding on one's fears, or provoked into anger, his skin would bulge, as if serpents would slip beneath the flesh.

During those moments that he was relaxed, or being diplomatic, his features would seem to have a sinister beauty to them. His cheek bones would be slightly prominent, while his lips were slender and cold. Those eyes would look like a frozen lake, piercing and studious, yet almost alluring as if drawing one in closer. A hoop would seem to be through his nostril, while what would seem like hoops carved from bones would run through his ears, and spikes through his eyebrows.

Normally when this fiend would speak, it'd sound as if his voice was laced with dozens of others, their tone of one of pain and despair. Yet if he focused, his voice was soft, yet it traveled on the air to whoever he spoke too. (If True Sight is active, this can be explained further)

                {History}

Much wasn't known about this kyton, except amongst his own people. None knew of his rises and falls upon the surface, having tormented, corrupted, and twisted the mortals for many decades. Though the last record of his walking of that plane, was spoken of a battle within the sewers of a odd city, seemingly against that of a Hellfire Wyrm, and an Horned Devil. It is said that he was defeated that day, yet other's speak that he had fled upon seeing death, and got his revenge many centuries later, using their flesh to lead him to his power. For each part that he cut from their flesh and molded to his own body, he gained a bit of their power, having turned to focusing on the dark weaves of the arcane to help him through his progress.

Living in a far off part of the Shadow Realm, he ruled for sometime, before his pride lead to an army of demons to attack his doorstep. Though he had lived, his kingdom has now been occupied, much to his hate.

           {Known -RP- Abilities}

          Immune to Pain (Pm levels)
The overlord is immune to nonlethal damage, as well as to all magical effects associated with extreme pain, such as a symbol of pain, another eremite's pain attack, or similar effects at the GM's discretion.

              Evisceration
When the overlord grapples a foe, it can quickly eviscerate or otherwise surgically alter its victim by excising a bit of flesh or a part of an internal organ as a swift action, causing the victim to take 1d8 points of ability drain of its choice. The victim can resist this effect with a DC 29 Fortitude save. The save DC is Dexterity-based.

             Graft Flesh
Once per day, the overlord may graft any bit of flesh or bone harvested via its evisceration ability within the previous hour to its own body as a full-round action that provokes an attack of opportunity. Doing so grants the overlord the effects of a heal and a greater restoration spell (caster level 24th).

           Gruesome Finish
The sheer unnatural pleasure that the overlord displays when he rips the soul from a living being causes all who observe him doing so to become frightened unless they succeed on a DC 34 Will save. The save is Charisma based. This is a mind-affecting fear effect.

           Shadow Traveler
When the overlord uses plane shift to travel to the Plane of Shadow, it arrives at its intended destination with complete accuracy. When the overlord uses shadow walk, it moves at a rate of 100 miles per hour.

           Unnerving Gaze
A creature that succumbs to the overlord's unnerving gaze becomes paralyzed with fear for 1d4 rounds as it finds itself almost longing to submit its flesh to the kyton. At the end of any round it remains paralyzed in this way, the victim must make a DC 34 Will save or take 1d4 points of Wisdom drain from encroaching madness. This is a mind-affecting fear effect.

           Dancing Chains
A kyton can control up to 4 (12) chains within 20 (40) feet as a standard action, making the chains dance or move as it wishes. In addition, a kyton can increase these chains' length by up to 15 (25) feet and cause them to sprout razor-edged barbs. These chains attack as effectively as the kyton itself. If a chain is in another creature's possession, the creature can attempt a DC 15 Will save to break the kyton's power over that chain. If the save is successful, the kyton cannot attempt to control that particular chain again for 24 hours or until the chain leaves the creature's possession. A kyton can climb chains it controls at its normal speed without making Climb checks. The save DC is Charisma-based.
