William "Monocle" Hawsers

  Usually dressed in an Amnian naval officer's uniform, with his long brown hair tied back, William Monocle cuts a dashing figure. Or, he might be wearing out-of-fashion but still well-made and expensive clothes. The thick lens of the monocle over his left eye would seem to indicate that it is a legitimate vision aid, rather than an ostentatious prop.
  His speech, though mostly polite and well-educated, can occasionally become peppered with nautical expressions, or even with the salty vulgarities of a lifelong tar.
