Taer was always fascinated by magic, and began to learn about it from an early age. Convincing a master of the arcane arts was not an easy task, but Taer persisted in trying to convince the master that training one more apprentice would be worth it.

Eventually, Taer's efforts to prove worthy were rewarded by the first lessons, and a test. Once this had been passed, a new life awaited the magic-fascinated youth, and growing into adulthood while learning the art left Taer with a strong grasp on the fundamentals of magic, but a sense of disconnection with the other young adults.

Choosing to leave the life there behind to seek more answers to the riddles of magic, Taer set out to find what answers there were to be found, and set a path to Sinfar.
