Description
Garrick, born of Sinfar, is best described as a druidic altruist with a curse. Born within a druidic enclave, he was quickly brought into the fold and found a particular capacity for the ability the wild shapers shared in turning into animals. Unfortunately, when he was twelve he used this ability to enter a part of the woods he was not supposed to and came across a faerie court.

Through some sleight or another, Garrick was given a curse of permanence. No longer would his druidic abilities be able to permanently change him. No matter what he turned into, he would keep a part of himself unchanged in both size, shape, and all other factors. At first he could not control which part of himself that would stay the same, but eventually he did learn how to keep it something small and  relatively unnoticed. A strand of hair perhaps, or a section of internal biology that wouldn't be seen.

As his powers grew, though, so too did the power of the curse. Such is faerie magic. Now when he changes forms (which happens much less frequently for this very reason), he brings back something as well. Sure, the exoskeletal carapace he gained from shifting into the form of an ant was shifted away from as soon as he got it, but he couldn't stop himself from getting a small stinger permanently attached to his tailbone. He also takes all of his extra pieces along with him into any new shifts, so he had to quickly stop shifting for fear of becoming so mutated as to not be able to even pass for human.

When it became time for the young Garrick to leave the enclave and strike out on his own, he went to the civilized portions of the world to try and teach them of the ways of peaceful coexistence with nature. Naive, yes, but a noble goal none the less. He was distracted by the allure of adventure, however, and now seeks fame and fortune through the use of his skills in magic and (rarely) shapeshifting.

Though his magical nature is no secret, as druids are most often as welcome in the civilized world as any other adventurer, he does keep the power of the curse to himself. He has grown accustomed to the curse and hasn't attempted to find anyone to remove it, especially after his elders told him it was for the best he keep it instead of angering the curse-giver even more. Now he hopes to help the people of the City, through his own projects as well as through quests of the guard or council. And if he gets better with his own skills in the mean time, all the better.

OOC NOTES

First off, this character is completely clean, although a small romance here or there may happen. If a conversation turns into any smut related, I will just leave the scene. Secondly, I love to roleplay, go out on adventures, and just have a good time with this game and this mods community. Thirdly, well. I don't know, but I love you. ;3
