David Martyn is a renegade squire that left Cormyr due to a conflict of interest, specifically that of the knight he was assigned to serve. The knight he served, Lord Desmond Cody'll, was discovered by David to be in service to a dark god. The idea of serving under a secret black knight appaulled him and even when he presented this, Lord Desmond's alignment with the goddess, Shar, kept his secret well and seemed to damn David to prison time for slander of a noble. This was until David fled to Sinfar to bring his sword skills with him. Here, he would change his stars and become a proper knight for the people.

David is a strong muscular man with a well carved chest, and ripped arms from devout training with the Sweihilder, or Two-Edged Sword. His body bears little body-hair as he is well groomed, and shaves most everything due to the heavy full-plate armor he usually wears to keep his body safe. His handsome visage also is clean shaven and his hair cut neatly, A knight must be not just a force in battle but a charmer off the fields for court.
