A reasonably handsome man, perhaps in his thirties, with reddish brown hair and a neatly trimmed beard, Varen would appear to be a priest of some sort, and usually has a warm and friendly attitude, always quick to offer a smile or a friendly hand, especially to those in need.  He seems quite at ease even among strangers, likely coming off as the sort who would tell you "a stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet."

Although a generally civilized sort, and usually comfortable among the streets of a city, he nevertheless has something of an affinity for nature and its creatures, as a priest of a church dedicated to life, and nurturing life, and as such often dresses in a manner to be closer to nature, whether that would mean going shirtless, or close to it.

Overall he seems like a friendly and helpful sort of fellow, if perhaps a bit too intense in his beliefs.  Still, those who came to know the full extent might come to discover, perhaps to their dismay, that there is a much darker side to this seemingly congenial priest...
