Magnus was a servant of a rather nasty Drow house, where he was treated like most males. A piece of meat to play with and discard when bored. When he wasn't forced to please his mistress, he was collared and chained upon the wall in her bedchamber. Here, the Mistress would use him to take out her angers and aggressions on.

Beaten nearly to death, over and over, for years shattered his mind, but strengthen his body. He learned to control the pain, and at times even seemed to enjoy it.

One day, an assassin was sent from another house, who expertly dispatched the Mistress' guards and servants. Eventually making her way to the Mistress' private bedchamber. When the assassin saw Magnus shackled to the wall, a pool of blood under him, the assassin free him of his bindings and handed him a dagger, and simply pointed at the slumbering Mistress. To which his gazed upon through swollen eyes, and smiled a wicked grin.

Reports say that the entire house was slain by an escaped slave who had gone mad. A few witnesses report seeing a male, drenched in blood, fleeing the manor, never to be seen again.
