Bodvar

---|---|
Bodvar notices your impudent, probing little eyes. A turn of his head gives you a more direct view of his facial features so that he may size you up in return.
Upon inspection, you immediately notice the jet black strands that weave down and dangle over the strong, masculine jaw. Jaded ovals peer from behind that cover, much like a beast does from the camouflage of foliage, carrying a wild, animalistic gaze as he regards his target with a healthy dose of wariness. A set of proud, thick lips curl and twist on rare occasion to forge a crude, outlandish common when deemed necessary to communicate. Tribal tattoos etched in black ink scatter over his face in sparing quantity. One in particular, depicting a sun, marked directly onto his neck, may stand out as being more recent with defined markings and no fading of ink. A few piercings are evident, with a ring piercing through the inner bridge of the nose, and two small studs on either side of his chin. "Why are you... stare... at Bodvar?" An inhuman, feral growl rumbles menacingly in response to the prolonged eye contact, an instinct of primal aggression beginning to surface. Further inspection reveals his physique to be more stout and brawny as opposed to lean and defined. Rigorous training or perhaps life in the wild frontier has shaped this humanoid's body into a rock solid form, with a stone-like grip and, if discovered, abnormally thick skin. A careful eye might note a hint of awkwardness to his bare-foot stride. Perhaps walking in this manner is not his normal method of travel? Lore 40 Perhaps some might have the studied mind, or the rare first hand experience, to identify what Bodvar really is. In his natural form, a thick, robust hide is layered beneath a heavy black fur coat. A monstrous 800 pounds of brute strength, 12-inch dagger sharp claws can be swung by a paw the size of the average man's head. One glance and his form may appear common enough as a black bear, indigenous to various jungle and mountainous regions throughout Faerun. However, what makes Bodvar special is his ability to shift between man and beast at will without the use of the arcane. Indeed, Bodvar's apparent ability to shift is a natural-born gift. |
