Melvin Digby

Portrait
Description
Melvin Digby is a young man in his early twenties with a slight, scrawny frame. He is short, with small, narrow shoulders and limbs that appear to lack any real muscle tone. His posture is often slumped, as if he's trying to make himself smaller, avoiding any unnecessary attention. His skin is pale, a result of long hours spent inside reading in dimly lit rooms, and he typically wears oversized, ill-fitting clothes that contribute to his dowdy appearance.

His face is somewhat unremarkable except for a few notable features: a pair of thick, round glasses that seem a bit too large for his face, their lenses often smudged with fingerprints. His neckbeard is patchy and poorly groomed, consisting of uneven stubble that clings desperately to his chin and jawline but never quite forms a full beard. Above his lip, he sports a similarly feeble mustache, resembling more of a few stray hairs than anything resembling facial hair. These wisps of facial hair do little to improve his overall appearance.

Melvin's hair is messy and unkempt, usually a dull brown, with a bit of a cowlick on top that resists all attempts at styling. He often hides behind his hair, pushing it away from his face with an absentminded gesture when it gets in his eyes.

It is clear Melvin possesses no social skills whatsoever. His most prized possession is a book titled "How to Get Girls by Hypnosis", which he carries around with him everywhere. He has read it cover to cover several times, convinced that hypnosis might be the magical solution to his problems. However, his understanding of the book?s concepts is shallow. Who knows if it would ever work.
