Before you stands a strange woman with bone white horns that curl back from the top of her head, seeming to slowly grow without limit.  Standing at a mere 5'4" in height and weighting only 130 lbs, she has a strange elegance about her.  She has warm, golden brown skin, slightly scarred from apparent past battles and experiences seeming to declare her habit of seeking out adventure despite her frail looking physique.

[[  MASKED/VEILED  ]]
Lady Crane Aninhari, Yoruhoko as she calls herself, is a strange quiet woman, never speaking above a whisper as if where ever she goes, her Library follows her.  She wears a veil upon her head and speaks with a slow lilting accent as if to restrain some thicker accent upon her tongue.  As if part of a force of habit, she tends to fidget with the veil and jewels atop her head from time to time, her fingers running over the horns that protrude from the layers of sheer silk that hide her head and face.  A torc around her neck, hanging just below a black choker laden with various amulets and pendants, seems to have obviously magical properties to it, though what exactly it does, is unclear.

**NOTICE:  For those of you who who track through scent, Yoru smells of flowers and incense, as if she spends her time around them in great numbers, tending to the dead.  It is hard to place her scent outside of that, as something else, lingering and hidden beneath stops her own natural scent from reaching your senses.  For those of you who track through magic, it would be deceptively easy to find her, but should you allow the scrying magic to linger, you'd find an odd awareness watching you back, ominous and foreboding in nature.

[[  UNMASKED/UNVEILED  ]]
Book Mistress L. on the other hand, rarely wears a mask, her posture bearing a sort of sly confidence and her eyes glinting with some sort of secret mischief that has yet to unfold.  As if bleached, she has eyes of a cold, almost white color that nearly disappears among the whites of her eyes and gives her an eerie sort of stare when she's upset.  Graced with what seem to be a series of white ink tattoos, the feather pattern seems to originate from the corner of her left eye and along her spine at her back like wings, the feathers splay out over her body to curl out and over her right arm and left leg, allowing the pattern to encircle her hips, torso and neck.

**NOTICE:  Much like Yoru, L's natural scent is a strange and hard one to place, hidden beneath a scent of clove and lavender.  She does not stop scrying magic from finding her in this appearance.

[[ BIOGRAPHY/BACK STORY ]]
Lairena had not met the man who'd consorted with Fierna to create her mother for he had died well before her birth. Her father on the other hand, she knew well enough, though she did not share his family name. Because of Fierna's parting words, the girl's heritage had been decided as matrilineal.

As Lairena grew older, her role among the group grew. They began to train her as a warlock. For a while, much of her learning was taken care of by her mother, until one day, her mother left the small village and never returned. Much of why the woman really left was unknown, even to Lairena. During the first few weeks, many strange rumors passed awkwardly around the village, but in the long run, no search parties were sent to search for the half-fiend woman who the cult had basically created. During that time, Lairena's relationship with the other members of the cult became strained and she began to question her purpose there and whether or not she was truly content with her life as it was. By the time she was sixteen, she'd decided that something felt obscenely wrong and she decided to flee her home.

The first few months after her fleeing her home were relatively uneventful and embarrassing for her. Having never left her small village before, much of the outside world confused or bewildered her. Much of her traveling consisted of mindless wandering and luck that she did not have to face many serious threats. Eventually, she stumbled upon a village, where a young man, took her in. He introduced himself as Arkail.

It was strange for her to find someone who didn't chase her away and the entirety of his village was a bit strange in that respect as well. But, being young and naive, she ignored the strangeness and continued to stay with him. As her first year away from home wore on, she came to find that the man worshipped a lesser demon along with many of the other villagers.

As time wore on, Lairena and Arkail became closer and as a result he began to allow her to share in much of the cult's rituals, though he withheld the name of the lesser demon that the cult worshipped, and so Lairena was forced to worship blindly.

By the time her second year came around, she'd begun to feel well at home in the village and her relationship with Arkail flourished. She felt herself quite happy and trusted Arkail and the other villagers almost completely.

It was early one morning when something woke her. Finding herself alone in the bedroom and the smell of something burning reached her nose. The sound of battle and yelling could be heard as she'd exited the small three room house in nothing but her night clothes. The first thing she saw were men in full armor, finishing off what villagers remained. She knew she had to get moving before anyone noticed her. A paladin would not take kindly to a young tiefling girl. She was barely eighteen and did not wish to die yet.

She was edging her way toward the back of the house and out of sight when one of them noticed her. With barely a word, he started toward her and she turned to run only to be blocked on the other side by another. A few harsh blows were exchanged, but she did narrowly escape. In her fright, she'd called out to the darkness, obscuring herself from their sight just long enough for her to flee into the forest and disappear.

The two years following, she spent traveling. Her anger fueled by the betrayal of the cult and Arkail whom she'd trusted. She's chosen to seek revenge on this man and to never align herself with another deity ever again. But, with very little to go on other than the man's first name, she's had a hard time finding any hint of the group.
