Biography:

Ghaun'launim was born in an isolated drow outpost near the lowerdark. The outpost soon had problems as their numbers were low and the gender balance began to shift towards a larger population of males, while the female population slowly dwindled. Depleting the ranks of the priestesses in just a few decades due to their constant infighting.

Faced with such odds the priestesses communed with Lolth and she gave her consent to temporarily suspend the sacred law that demanded that every third son needed to be sacrificed in  her name. Instead the third son would be given to the temple and become a m'thain, or priest of Lolth, so the males would never rebel against the female rule.

Ghaun'launim was born from the union of a yathrin and a m'thain, like his father, and his grandfather before, making him the 3rd on a line of 3rd sons. To his father he was a blessing, but his mother believed him to be a curse.

The wise yathrin ended up being right. The outpost had been infiltrated early on by mind flayers and they had tampered with the drow reproduction in an experiment to study drow society and learn of their weaknesses.

When Ghaun'launim earned his place the outpost was wiped out by the mind flayers, satisfied with their curiosity they decided to enslave or devour the drow. Only a handful survived, including Ghaun'launim after he saw a vision in a dream.

After a few years the young priest of Lolth had tried to live in several cities, at best laughed at and kicked out, at worst hunted like a heretic.

Now, Ghaun'launim has reached Sinfar, and whatever lies in his future, only the Weaver of Fate knows.
