Standing at six feet even, this pale skinned warrior was known as the Raiju of the Shinsengumi. Pale as death warmed over with eyes the colour of serpent plums. His hair cascades down along his form in heavy waves of black ash.
Shin was at the peak of the Edo and Meiji era of Japan, a highly sought after Samurai charged with the defense of the political hierarchy of those who stayed in Okinawa. Gaining the name of the yokai that struck from the heavens to the earth in as a bolt of lightning by his quick movements in combat and ability to dispatch his foes without fail of strike. He was thought a demon himself for his ability to even set his blade afire by merely unsheathing it from the sword sheathe he wore at his sides. As the transition of the world moved from the era of Edo to Meiji, the powerful Samurai had come to grow empty inside as he was charged to dispatch countless numbers of individuals who only charge for fighting against the developing government was their desire to keep their ways of life as they were. Never the less, once he was set upon a target, they were thoroughly removed from the world of the living. One day with his next target being that of a young boy, no taller than his knee. He knew the reason for the boys death was because his father refused to surrender to the capital. As he gazed down into the blood soaked face of the young boy, his mother's lifeless body unmoving beside him; he found the emptiness and tension in his heart snap. The last of sight of the Raiju of the Shinsengumi was of him walking away seeming in a daze. Katana left imbedded in the ground before the terrified boy, he disappeared stumbling aimlessly into a fog amongst a nearby bamboo forest. Shin served to protect those he cared the most about within the city of Sinfar. However with forces growing stronger, he had come to realize his ancient art was not enough and had found a teacher, a master in which was able to help him gain and master some small amount of mastery over the art of the spirit. In such processes and training, he has come to be that of a Sohei Kensei born as one. With this, he has also gained a strange air of calm about him, an aura of tranquility.
