A sorceress' ability to bend the forces of reality to her will often brings with it a level of arrogance not often seen outside of the upper echelons of nobility. Such a phenomenon is clearly visible in the case of Triss Amraphen.

Selfish and unconcerned with manipulating "unwashed imbeciles", what Triss cannot achieve with good looks, charm or caustic words, she will just as readily achieve through magical means. Simple minds can be turned with simple spells.

This is not to say that Triss is an entirely unpleasant person; she can be downright delightful at times. If she is getting what she wants....
