Your eyes are drawn towards a woman of medium height and extravagant pallor.

It might be a number of things that has caused you to look her way - perhaps it is the dramatically dark choice in her attire, how she chooses only the finest velvet, silk, lace or leathers to cover her figure with and hardly ever strays from black or colours equally deep and dark.

It might be the way she speaks, that ever quiet, ever measured speech that seems to abhor the notion of raising its tone to be heard over a crowd - as if perhaps it is the crowd that should fall silent to hear her.

Or it might simply be that despite lacking extravagantly gifted features, with her bust falling on the fuller side of an average human - and therefore hardly anything to write home about in these lands - or the way those hips were wide but often hidden beneath layers of clothing, despite the fact that she had no horns or tails or wings, there was simply a degree of confidence to Beatrix that not so subtly demanded attention.

Indeed, Beatrix was not quite what one would define as young girl. She possessed a carnal maturity, a glint in her eye that spoke of many a thing witnessed and known. Subtle creases formed at the corners of her mouth and eyes, not too deeply marked by time yet - early thirties would be a safe bet. If inspected carefully, her lustrous dark chestnut mane would reveal a few far in between locks of silver.

Those more familiar with magic, specifically the darker side of it, would readily identify the amulets or rings that adorned her person and marked her as an occultist. Not particularly shy about this fact, either. It was not hard to spot, at times, a vial of blood dangling from a braided velvet cord around her neck.

What motives draw her to this land are anyone's guess.
