Delicate. That's the word most often used to describe Akiko - long eyelashes and meticulously shaped eyebrows frame slightly tilted eyes in a face with the soft, delicate features typical of the Kara-Tur.
Long, dark hair reaches almost to her waist and is often put up in elaborate styles with artful flower pins. Her fair skin stands in sharp contrast with dark hair and black eyes, and she clearly spends very little time in the sun.

Upon closer inspection, her black eyes are not the pits of darkness one might have come to expect on Sinfar, but rather a startling array of greys that sparkles with intelligence as they observe her surroundings with a hint of trepidation. A wariness hardly necessary to determine that this young woman is far from home.


It's obvious from a glance that Akiko was brought up with wealth and status; at home in long flowing dresses and often wearing ornate jewelry, she moves with a careful and deliberate grace. Although usually polite to a fault, she is often arrogant and even haughty towards those she considers beneath her - even if that arrogance may only extend to her eyes and tone of voice.

Her behavior towards men can be puzzling, as she may refuse to meet their eyes and even act submissive - even when making arrogant demands - and for no apparent reason.

Akiko often attempts to convey her thoughts with a look or a gesture, even if her efforts are usually lost on the uncivilized barbarians who inhabit this world.
Her features are usually impassive and she seems excessively reluctant to reveal her true feelings, which makes getting to know her a challenging prospect.
