Appearance
  She stands in the background, quiet but alert. She is slender, perhaps overly so, but she is fit and hale. Her face is angular, not unattractive, although both it and her straw-colored hair are likely to be mostly covered under her weather-beaten cowl.

Background
  Mel's family has worked for generations as vintners for the estate of a wealthy manor near Arabel, in Cormyr. Wanting to see more of the world than the vineyards, she enlisted in the Purple Dragons as an archer. Alas, promotions came few and far between (Officers like to see flashing swords and loud, boisterous battle cries, neither of which befit a sniper).
  So Mel finds herself here in Sinfar, trying to make sense of a strange world, and find her own place within it.
