To be a bard, one has to have an array of striking qualities. It is an esteemed monicker - bard - and would-be bards are measured to the extreme.

The First quality is looks:

This young woman certainly has physical charms to boast of. She is tall, athletic - a body filled with youthful vigor, crowned by a hauntingly pretty face that is too fair to be human, yet not so ethereally symmetrical as to be elvish. A round face, looking not a day over twenty four, with defined cheekbones, a delicate chin, slender nose and often smiling lips. Those captivating blue eyes may well be enough to divert attention from her other feminine charms. A pert, firm rear that is selectively placed in snug-fitting pants, and a healthy swell to her chest that doesn't disrupt her otherwise slender frame.

The rest of the criteria have very little to do with looks, so most onlookers tend to stop at Number One.
