The dwarf before you stands up straight before you with his shoulders back and his chin held up with a sense of pride and duty. Unlike many dwarves this one easily stands more than a few inches taller than most of his kin. Those familiar with this odd sight would recognize him as a Shield Dwarf of The North.

Tanned skin, silvery blue eyes, and a head (as well beard) of light red hair easily identify him as one of the dwarves of The North. A region of wilderness, difficult winter weather, orcish hordes, and barbarian tribes. His demeanour was often gruff and could be seen as rude. A stranger in a new land on a mission as he wandered the streets and dirt roads of Sinfar and its nearby islands with a look that spoke to an uncivilized past living among the wilds of "the Savage North".

Traveling down his body it was easy to tell him from that of a short human as the bulky chest was accented by the dense arms that swayed at his side. Depending on the clothing he wore those looking could see the tattoos that ran down his right arm. Tribal in appearance the design still reflected his dwarven heritage with a long script that ran the length of his bicep and partially down his right forearm. Though vaguely a mashup of dwarven and some tribal dialect if inspected long enough one could read what roughly translated to:

"If they stand behind you, give them protection. If they stand beside you, give them respect. If they stand against you, do not let them pass."
