A somewhat elusive personality but, as expected with the daisho he keeps sheathed at his side, has all the bearings of a warrior. To understand Kojiro, is to understand Bushido. Bushido values honesty, courage, and self-control to the point that if an infraction is commited, the only punishment is death. He follows this code without hesitation but Kojiro is not without his flaws. He buries his flaws deep inside him and walks a fine line between the contradictions within his soul to retain his honor. While this may not be the true meaning of Bushido, it is the path every warrior walks. A single misstep will lead to peril, but if you tread carefully enough, you will rise above. Kojiro is patient, refined, and level headed. It takes a great inner turmoil to break his demeanor. A kind man but merciless, he lives ever in pursuit of sword technique, sophistication, and finding pleasure in dueling with strong opponents.

Born the third son of a noble and powerful family, he was taught Bushido and the ways of a swordsman. His brothers were five years older then him. He was also the smallest of the three. Which meant that he was picked on a lot by his two older brothers. So that meant that he toughened up,the quickest. All three of them were incredible swordsmen. Kojiro learned the fastest, a prideful boy who knew he would one day surpass their skill.

When he was eighteen something big happened. Their father was old at the time. He didn't have much time left. So he was ready to pick his successor. So to find who would take the spot he sent them on a quest. He told them to find the legendary sword Akuhei that was hidden in the mountain and bring it to him. The one who returned it to him would be his successor. All three set off on their quest.

Two years and many trials later, all three made it to the same mountain. When they disturbed the sword they found it released a demon. All three attacked him. But the demon was very powerful and killed both of his brothers. Shortly after their deaths he killed the demon. Kojiro held the sword Akuhei in his hand. But the worse moment in his life happened. The demon reappeared behind him. It stabbed him through the back and left him there to die.

But Kojiro willed himself out of the mountain. When he got out of the mountain entrance he passed out. When he awoke again he was in a tent of a monk. The monk found him at the entrance and he healed him. Kojiro was ready to leave and find the demon to avenge his brothers deaths. But the monk stopped him. He told him that he can't defeat him. Not in the way he was taught. Not until his skills are great enough to destroy the demon lord.

Akuhei was not just any katana. It was a rare blade made to destroy the demon. The metal was cold to the touch. The blade was dark as night. Kojiro accepted his offer. That was the easy part. He told him it's dark secret. The monk hid the sword so that it would never release the trapped demon into the world. You see the sword is powered by blood - if it can be fueled by the blood of an innocent, the sword will become powerful enough to destroy the demon. Since Kojiro would never kill an innocent, it would never reach it's full strength.

Once he learned this he left the old monk never to see him again and headed back to his village only to find it razed to the ground from the demons wrath. Not a single survivor was left in the smoking ruins. He came to the castle, and found the demon waiting for him inside. Drawing Akuhei he issued his challenge and the demon accepted. After a long grueling battle and close to death Kojiro waited for the demon to resort to trickery to finish him off. When the demon approached him once again from behind he thrusted the sword through his own abdomen, impaling the demon lord. The sword fueled by his own blood killing the demon once and for all. As the demon died, so too did the young Kojiro. His high ideals shattered, his family dead, his home no more, his outlook on life defiled. He becomes a ronin, wandering the countryside for many years to come.
