Nimora's origin is shrouded in a fog of mystery as it's not really clear when and if she was born at all. Anyone who knows a few stories of the Black Witch will believe that she was born and raised as a child of a noble family which has been kidnapped by a lonely witch. Her 'mother' is the only one who knows the truth, but she disappeared by the time Nimora reached adulthood.

The legend says that her mother, the Witch of the Four Winds, abducts children to feast on their future and life energy to preserve and enlengthen her own existence. According to the story, she steals the abducted child's face before the age of sixteen and keeps their tormented soul in a magical maze inside her silver amulet. It is said that the magical power which rages like a hurricane inside the violet crystal of her amulet can drive anyone daring to stare into a state of irrevocable madness.

Although Nimora shares many similiarities with her mother, she happens to be the first child who's been able to escape the witch's longing grip. It is unclear where Nimora went after the incident and the tale of the Black Witch ends here.

Nobody knew the beautiful wandering gypsy who's been travelling the world all on her own, accompanied by her donkey and her belongings. She used to build up a tent near the crowded streets of a city's gate and offered anyone passing by a hand reading and other sorts of entertainment. Later on she even sold healing potions and other, sometimes harmful mixtures if the traveller asked the right questions.
It's easy to speculate what exactly happens behind the closed curtains of her dimmly lid tent and since the witch's always wore enticing clothes only a concubine or highclass prostitute could afford, most people were quick to give her the title of a 'whore'.

A common lord fell in love with her beauty and tried to court her as the lady-in-waiting, the daughter of her noble family, she must have been. After many unsuccessful attempts he lost his temper and sent out his men to capture her. Nimora fled into the forest and disappeared once again for the years to come. Many believe she may got caught and raped to death as the lord's guards were hanged for their incompetence. But her body was never found.

Her tragic story became a folklore and the place of her rest was turned into an enchanted forest nobody was allowed to enter. Over the years many exiled seek refuge in her well hidden, self-built wooden house or commit suicide in the forest. It is said that she offers her shelter to those who are willing to stay long enough to breed her an offspring. But anyone who was lucky enough to meet her in her home never saw her said children.

Nimora used to study the arcane and learned much about drudic rituals and art. She had connections to the Academia Arcana, an academy for magic users and copied many spells in her black tome. Even though some magisters believe she may be some sort of a cultist and expect her to be a necromancer, there was never written anything similar in her tome. She does believe in what she calls the 'Dark Gods' or 'Old Ones', the forgotten faith of a folk long rotting on the bottom of a sea near the Swamp of the Damned.
The church likes to think that she's an apostate mage, luring adventurers into the hands of a demonic being - yet she's unwilling to talk about demons, usually wearing a face of disgust when the topic is brought up.

Since it's hard to describe the witch's appearance - and no artist was ever able to draw her as she is, she visited cities all around the world, used to work as a librarian, bartender, shop assistant and many more. Her favorite job remains to be a teacher in the Academia Arcana, where nobody except the director himself knows who she really is.

Nimora happend to be in some relationships and was married for seven years to a blacksmith. Her daughter Emra, who is now around the age of sixteen, left home and lives in a tavern which owner happens to be Nimora's former lover. She works as a bartender and has an affair with him.

The Black Witch's life got turned upside down at the dark ages of Witch Hunt. The Inqusition raided and set her house on fire, destroyed almost everything she owned, forcing her to live on the streets once again. Her black tome and some artefacts were stolen and hid inside the Temple of the Eternal Light, the headquarter of the Blazing Hand, an extremist, religious organization.

She later on regained her power and brought her belongings back through force and charme.
