A Masquerader is a form of shapeshifter whose power resides in the collection of Masks they wield, each one when donned twisting and shifting their flesh into the form they represent and granting him access to the innate abilities such creatures possess.

Masqueraders develop and widen their range of shifted forms less through ascetic training and instead through the acquisition of additional masks. Masks can be created from any creature living or dead, provided a sample of their genetic material is available however those created directly using larger samples of recently deceased creatures such as fur or bone hold more of their originators' powers, though they are ultimately inferior copies of the original being.

Divination: As a servant of the Seneschal of the Dead, reapers possess some degree of insight into the lives of those on their "to-die lists"; names, personal details and key events in the lives of souls who might be reaped in the near or far future by reading "records"; books recording the lives of mortal creatures in novel-form stored in their central library on the Fugue Plane. Given time, they can acquire information on any creature who has lived a mortal life though they shed no light on those who do not age, existing for now at least beyond the reach of Jergal's scythe.
