Polly is a survivor.  That is perfectly apparant on the surface: she is shifty, possesses a wiry strength like a copper band, obsessively observant.  She isn't stealthy, but she has a fleetness of foot that makes her hard to keep an eye on for long.

This is perhaps a shame, because for all her slippery roguishness Polly is a pretty little slip of a woman.  She looks about 20, skinny to the point of being almost bony, with just enough gentle flaring of her hips to give her a faintly womanly look despite her almost-malnourished appearance.  She has an angular face that is often quite heavily made up, skilfully but not exactly subtly, and framed by shiny blonde hair that is bouncy, clean and smooth.  She has a well-kept attractiveness that is at the same time deeply practical.

Polly is from the slums, and so navigates the streets with something halfway between strutting and sneaking.  She is intelligent, rude, cautious, and opportunistic.  What is less immediately obvious is that although she grew up in the slums, she has not passed through those streets for several years, until very recently.  She had been hidden away, kidnapped in the middle of her teens, by some kind of depraved cult down there, and though she has escaped them now, she doesn't know how to get back to them to have her revenge.  And so she spends her time preparing herself for whatever bloody return she is planning, akways expecting them to attack her, and always wondering how she can leverage people and materials into achieving that goal. And though she enjoys her freedom now, the trauma that has been inflicted on her can sometimes make her behaviour somewhat...strange.
