Born and raised in Sinifer's slums, the lanky, dark skinned Frances learned since before her teen years how to survive and make the best out of her chances, regardless of what others think of her actions and demeanor.
Due to the influence of certain events and characters though, her stance is less chaotic than it used to be.

She bears some scars on her neck, under her jawline, that are easily visible when she cants her head on the side. Other scars are present on the left side of her chest, above her breast, and a narrow and long horizontal one is visible under her left breast.
Because of her conservative choice of clothes and social customs, the chance to see her hidden scars is slim.
