Alaria was born in the Kingdom of Lordaeron, and was a young acolyte when the undead Scourge ravaged her homeland. She joined the Crusade against the foul creatures, seeking to purge them from the lands and restore the homeland of her childhood. She served first under the High Priestess Whitemane at the great Cathedral, and then under the direct tutelage of the first Scarlet Oracle, Demetria. When her mentor went missing, presumed lost in the plagued lands of what had once been eastern Lordaeron, Alaria rose to the call and stepped up to serve as the Grand Crusader's oracle. Unfortunately, she lacked her teacher's ability to see into other worlds and times without losing her place in the current one, and in the course of seeking answers, she found herself adrift in space and time...
