Background:

As a young woman, Risandra has always had a strange affinity for woodland creatures. She spent many a night where she would travel along the forests near her home in search of woodland creatures. Her days were spent studying herbs and plants discovering which could be used for medicine. The Forest of Valthor became a second home to her, and she knew it like the back of her hand. Risandra came upon a wounded wolf once who had become the unfortunate victim of a hunter's arrow.  She luckily found some herbs nearby and made a poultice which she then used to ease the pain of the wolf. From then on she found that each time she was near wolves she had almost a bond with them. The wolf after having its pain eased gave a lick to Risandra's hand and ran off.

One day one of the villagers thought to have his way with Risandra as she had grown up to be a very attractive-looking woman. He corned her and just as he was about to force himself upon her, a fierce growl was heard behind him, and in a panic, he turned around to see a silver wolf barrel into him. A sharp cry was heard before the end of the villager came quick. The other villagers flocking to the scene found the wolf standing guard over Risandra and the bloody corpse of the would-be rapist. Risandra was seen as a witch, as to the villagers it was unnatural for one to be able to be so close with animals. The villagers drove her away from the village and in a rapid flight, Risandra traveled across the countryside in search of shelter.

Eventually, her travels took her to Sinfar, where she sought refuge in the Mordred Woods. There while hiding next to a tree she encountered a stranger whom she guarded. A woman who was taking a stroll in the woods and who had little knowledge that walking would lead her to Risandra. She guided her in the way of the lands, and now Risandra wanders around looking for her next adventure.

A recently formed and still healing bite mark is on Riandra's left shoulder. The shape of the bite mark is canine in appearance as if a wolf had bitten her shoulder.
