Camariel is a very quiet and unassuming individual, her friendly .. helping if needed but she seems rather quiet and reserved as if hiding something .. She carries a set of beautifully wrought Kamas, them pulsing with power, glowing gemstones set in the pommel .. dark runes marking the curved blades.

Camariel once was a sweet and unassuming young woman.  She was raised quietly by her parents till they were killed by bandits working for a wealthy landowner when she was but 4 years old.  The entire village destroyed by his greed.


She alone survived.  She was found in the rubble of the village by a band of rogues.  They took pity on the small child taking her to raise as their own.  

When she was old enough they told her what happened to her village and parents.  In tears she swore vengance upon the ones responsible.  

To that end the rogues agreed to train her in the ways of the rogue.  One taking her as apprentice to train in the ways of an assassin.

She quickly excelled, her skills remarkable.  Eventually she came across a band of those that had destroyed her village and slain her parents ..  

She tracked them down, killing them one by one.  Eventually she crossed paths with the wealthy one who had hired them.  She plied her skills to get close to him only to find him a powerful mage!

He easily swatted her aside .. her meager skills useless against his arcane ones.  She managed only just to escape with her life swearing to hunt him down and kill him ..  

Camariel was sorely wounded by him however.  She sought shelter in an abandoned ruined temple.  Her calling out to the gods for vengence against the mage.

Unknown to her she had found the temple of an ancient and very dark and evil Shadow Demon Lord.  He answered her plea offering her a deal.

He would indeed give her power beyond imagining, the ability to merge with the shadows themselves making her an unstoppable assassin.  She agreed greedily not thinking of consequences.

Her feeling the power of the shadows flowing into her then giving her strength and skills as an assassin  undreamed of.

She did not learn until it was too late that her agreement was a blood contract with the Shadow demon lord .. him having bonded her with one of his minions a shadow demon.  Her screaming out with horror as her body changed and altered into a visage of both beauty and demonic horror .. a merging of her own beautiful form and that of the demonic shadow demon.
