At first glance, just about anyone would think they were looking at a flat-chested woman. He had smooth skin, a face that was more cute than it was stunning or beautiful, generous hips that showed a lovely rump no matter how loose of clothing he wore, and the stature that fit a girl. He often wore light and loose clothing, with a few daggers hanging at advantageous spots along his body, but it did little to fight against his feminine appearance... He just looked like more of a tomboy.

At second glance, that is when it would be a bit more clear that Elan wasn't a woman. The way he stood was still like that of someone with something dangling between his legs, his arms showed the muscle of someone who knew how to use knives, though it was hardly the muscle of a bodybuilder. The signs were there, but many of them could be written off as him being a tomboyish girl.
