Talice Omrifar

Portrait
Description
The noble drow with distinctive red eyes and white hair has a relative light skin tone for a dark elf. Levitation, sometimes seen but still rarely performed, is the obvious proof of bloodline.

For Fairness
System Race: Halfling (don't bother with Evard's Black Tentacles, if we PvP)

Like nearly all of my characters, Talice is WYISWYG (what you see is what you get), without any hidden quirks.

My main interests on this character are roleplay, adventure / PvE related things and maybe CTF. A friendly spar can happen too but it's unlikely, because cleric builds like this can be terribly difficult to beat, unless you hurl a so called counterbuild at Talice. I enjoy it much more when things are more even or if it's a challenge.

I usually do not bother to expose the background of my characters in these description entries. Talice' case is a little more special, because I'm experimenting with some classic Forgotten Realm rules and settings on her.

The rule in a nutshell. The Shadow Weave can be used by characters of certain wisdom score, if worshipper of Shar or if (part) of sanity has been sacrificed. That works for mages, blighters (druids) and other spellcasters. So, we got the situation that it's not exclusively working for arcane characters only. WTOC / FR rules also changed some and there are different versions with more or less vague settings. Yes, Wizards of the Coasts has always been a bit whacky about the Shadow Plane, Shadow Weave, Shadow Fell and so on. I'm playing Talice as a user of such source. However, that is only IC. I'm perfectly fine when you rather want to treat her as a form of Ur-Priest instead.

This plays a specific role, for a reason. Talice is supposed to be from Menzoberranzan. Small houses rise and fall, so did her house. At some point in Forgotten Realms hisory, Lloth had risen in power and became a greater deity.

During this time of ascension, the deity was not able to answer the prayers of her followers. This brief vacuum of power was exploited by the rivaling drow deity Kiaransalee. Some drow cities fell under rule of her worshippers. Many houses fought inner and outer conflics, including real wars of faith and converting.

This is her case too. An inner conflict of her house has lead to Talice' choice of seeking a different source of power for her magical abilities. She wasn't willing to convert to Kiaransalee and managed to burn her own house to ashes as the sole survivor.

Without any significant political power left, she decided to part from Menzoberranzan. She travelled the planes, especially the Shadow Plane or Shadow Fell, whichever you prefer to refer to.

Some of these journeys and the exploration of other planes had an impact on her alignment, her point of view about other races and her demanour to a degree. Talice isn't openly evil anymore and she arranges herself with local laws.

Although rather polite and considerably friendly, the drowess still has a temper too. All that asigns her closer to lawfull neutral but the border to evil is very close.

"Lights"
Honestly, if Talice doesn't manage to scare the other character to the degree of wetting their pants and running away before they reach a bedroom, then something has gone wrong. This drowess has never managed to become intimate with anyone on Sinfar and it's questionable that it ever changes. For that reason, I won't bother to write any more in this light section.
