Megyn Trask

Portrait
Description
The woman before you stands taller than an average human female. Everything about her screams of a noble upbringing, from the extravagant clothing or armor she dons to the elaborate way even the simplest curl of hair is carefully placed. While her demeanor doesn't reek of the common arrogance found in many nobles, there is a certain sense of superiority as she gazes upon others; a sense that she considers herself more cultured than many of those she tends to meet.
Her speech is refined and carefully structured, with perfect prose and annunciation indicating a proper, high-class education.

As a child, Megyn was carefully groomed and trained to be a noblewoman in service to Lady Jareyl of Longdale. While never officially trained as a soldier, Megyn quickly developed exceptional skill at arms as well as progressing quickly through lessons on matters of politics, tactics, strategy, and leadership. By the time she was sixteen, she was already showing incredible promise, and sought to become a ward herself.
Years later, when war struck her kingdom, she had begged to be allowed to take the field and help the generals lead their armies, but was told that she simply wasn't ready to lead, and that no noblewoman would be safe fighting on the front lines without guards to protect her. However, as fate would have it, it was that same rigid adherence to tradition that saved the woman's life when her kingdom fell to its enemies. In a last desperate effort to escape the encroaching enemy soldiers, she used her mother's magical mirror to open a portal into Sinfar, permanently disconnecting her from the land she once called home.
Now, like so many before her, she wanders anew, lost in a strange land full of strange beings, trying to find a way to fit in. One wonders how long her naivete and innocence will really last.
