Selena is a runaway from the Black Heart Tribe many seasons ago. She doesnt know if they are still looking for her or not...  (a pack member, remains with the pack for life). Perhaps they have given up. Perhaps they believe she is dead. Somehow, she doubts Red Claw would let her go...  She is incredibly naive about her nature, and past... The Pack Leader habitually keeps the young ones ignorant and improperly trained for survival, especially the bitches. (The less they know the more likely they wont stray... at least in theory)
