Edward Rackham is a man who presents himself as a refined, well bred gentleman.  Well groomed with a neatly trimmed beard he always takes pride in his appearance.  Finely tailored silk clothes adorn his body and show off his wealth.  Quick with a smile or a compliment, Rackham carries himself with a deliberately easy going air.  Overall he has the appearance of a well to do man about town.

All the finery in the world, however, can never quite seem to hide his true nature.  The rough calluses of his hands and the many scars over his body betray Rackham's violent past.  A particularly nasty scar across his throat tells a tale of a man left for dead, and has given his voice a low gravely quality.  Though he may grin often, his smiles never seem to reach his grey eyes.  To anyone with keen enough senses the truth is obvious, Rackham is a beast wrapped in silk.

Rackham is a brigand and a pirate trying to use a careers worth of plunder to buy his way into legitimacy.  He has a very condescending and chauvinistic view of women, believing their only proper place is serving men (The views of this character do not necessarily represent the views of management).  While he is primarily a dominant, he will submit to a woman who manages to get the best of him.
