Blacksteel Templar Grenlum

Portrait
Description
Hansard Grenlum was an aging man, tired and worn from his many years of service. Days, to months, to years of standing in the rain for hours at end, or moving in his armour upon those unforgiving cobbled floors. He had earned his cold and bitter attitude. Time hadn't been kind to him, robbing him of his youth and enthusiasm, replacing it instead with a deep set racial hatred and short patience.

Hansard had always been a die hard loyalist to the Blackwoods, being raised beneath the reign of George Blackwood. The majority of his time in the Templar had been posted in the Brassmere as of late, although he did spend a large quantity of his time manning the castle gates and taking in guests of nobility for an audience with High Lord Blackwood.

The man was soon set to hang up his longsword for the final time, the days were drawing closer to a life of rest and relaxation. That was until it happened, the trial of the Red Witch, one of the largest in recent years, turned to chaos. It is unsure if it was the Tethered Stag, or a third uprising of the elves, but when George Blackwood's life was pulled from his frail body, Hansard's own aching body was granted a renewed vigour and purpose.
The commander of the Templar had been stationed at Gilliard's Walk on that fateful day, mainly for the prestige of being present at the Red Witch's trial.

Well, I suppose he got his wish to become part of history. The only issue was, the Templars over seeing the trial were brutally massacred, lowering an already dwindling number. Hansard knew this was his time to put himself forward as Commander of the Templar, and push to expand their ranks. Regardless of who was truly responsible for the attack, all foes of Blacksteel would be crushed under his heel.
