Description
"He reminded me of a piece of rock or granite, fashioned roughly into the shape of a man. He was thick-set all over, bull-necked with a square-ish face. He was unlovely to look at, mainly due to the darkness in his eyes. A dull, lightless void of empathy that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and tingles sent down my spine. I would cross the street to avoid the man walking by and certainly would not strike up conversation with him.

He had a rough beard, and was branded with military and prison tattoos marking a chequered history within the city and beyond. A man who had seen a lot, but was not tempered smoothly in the experience. He unsettled me with his silence, it was just like the coming of a storm, and I did not wish to linger long to see it come to fruition."
