What you see is what you get. Blunt and honest because he is too clueless to come up with a convincing deception or lie. In fact reading him when he tries to lie is easier than telling if a child is lieing. Born the product of drunken debauchery and discovered on birth to not be the product of the desired males line, he was named with the first words out of his mothers mouth... "Oops! Throw that thing in the sea. Throw it away! I will not keep it."

His mothers servant did not want to kill the innocent however so she raised the boy as her own for the earliest years. His life as a servant was brutal and he learned quickly that he could expect no kindness from others he did not work hard to earn. Used as anything from the whipping boy to the scullery serf, from the cewer cleaner to the chimney sweep, and from the gardner to the house keeper, he learned a variety of usefull skills to make him an ideal servant. But when his adopted mother died of a misterious illness he was accused of her murder and had to flee for his life at the tender age of 11 years.

Now he has found his way to a new land far out of the reach of his former owners/blood relatives and is seeking to learn how to survive in his new life. He has been on his own for 8 years living on the streets as a beggar, a brawler, a general laborer, taking any job he could get that might get him gold, food, or transportation further away from his once home. Still young in body and mind his cluelessness makes him seem far more innocent than he might actually be, yet inexperience leaves him in obvious awe and wonder when discovering new things, places, races and cultural differences.
