Jelani is a solidly built Chultean male about 6 feet in height. He lacks some of the ritual scars or markings of some tribes from that corner of the Realms.  He dresses in a manner similar to more Northern folk.  In fact, he speaks more like a Waterdeep artisan, rather than some 'savage', though with a mild accent.

Jel is a pioneer, an explorer and a hunter for the most part working for an unknown employer.

(Don't confuse the polite manner with which he interacts with strangers. he was raised to be polite and polite doesn't always equate with nice or white knight, blah blah blah.  It's just good civil and social behavior)
