What would appear to be a giant fowl seems to have caught your glimpse. This unusually oversized bird seems to act like any other of its smaller cousins as you see. A chain necklace looks to be around the feathered neck with a copper medallion hanging from it. If close enough, one would see the metal bearing the letters D.B etched into it.
Cluckz was a familiar to a dwarven wizard whom had been raised on a chicken farm in his youthful years and decided to bind one of them to himself. The master of Cluckz excelled in his studies leading to him growing more powerful in the ways of the arcane arts, which in return strengthened the intellect of his own familiar. A time came to when Cluckz spoke with growing intelligence, along with the development of his own personality and skill for writing books. Intrigued upon the fowl's budding abilities with his own growing mastery of transmutation studies, the master wizard decided to experiment with Cluckz in the arts of permanent alteration of size. The wizard hoped that one day he could ride his own familiar into battle as a mighty steed while raining down his power upon his foes. Over the many years, Cluckz grew in size from the experimentation along with his piles of growing novels and songs in chicken scratch. When the moment came when Cluckz was the opportune size, his master was regrettably at the elder age where even he was too frail to ride much less go into battle and survive. Using his last mortal years submerged in the research of transmutation the old dwarf wizard wanted what was best not of himself but for his closest friend Cluckz and performed one final successful experiment. The result severed the wizard's bound connection with the familiar, while the abilities gained remained intact with room to grow as well. In his last moments, the wizard reached out from his death bed to his closest friend with a whisper "Go now Cluckz...Your next chapter begins". With the head and the beak pressing into the hand, "And your tale will be the greatest I write" softly emits from the feathered writer. |
