Artemis is oft perceived a figure of great mystery, and some would say she is representative of the main antagonist in some twisted parable. Her sense of dark poetry is quite acute, and she uses this perception to swathe herself in labyrinthine riddles. She is either gravely insane or simply far above the scope of normal human thinking, though most lean towards 'raving lunatic'.     Do not be fooled, however, for Artemis is nonetheless an incredibly deadly individual whom holds great power at her disposal. It is not uncommon for the people of Darkmist to place the blame for terrible circumstances upon her simply due to her reputation. She is rumored to be the cause of the mysterious plague in Darkmist, and is hunted by almost every inquisition imaginable--and unimaginable--dwelling in the dark isle.     But what are her motives? Some have told tales of great salvation as a result of her. Others still, destructive misfortune. Who else but herself does she answer to, and what kind of sick game is she truly playing? There is an old saying that gets tossed around when things are as uncertain as they come, and it rings true even now when this enigmatic witch is called to question.             Only time will tell.
