A floating skull... In a hat... With an ancient echoing voice, yet it speaks in a very unassuming way. (Lore DC 40) There is no doubt about it, you are in the presence of a terrifying Demilich... Despite it not being terrifying at all. It seems to be missing its soul gems. Maybe that is why it seems to be so... off? Some time ago, in a dark basement.... - I don't want to go on with this! - Hush, do you want the others to laugh at the two of us? - But they are already laughing! - Yes, of course, it's a silly hazing ritual, but it'll be worse if we chicken out. - So where do we put the hat? - They said somewhere the gamekeeper wouldn't reach easily... Uh, what does it say? - I think it reads.... "Headmaster" - *snort* Really? Now that's a bad pun. - Very well, hand me the hat, let's get this over with... A while later, the two students emerge from the basement, covered in dust, laughing... - So, did you two do it? - *wipes tears* Oh yes, and I must say, that was an excellent trick. - Yes, setting the skull up with wires and pulleys so it sprung forward and floated around as we placed the hat, very neat. - *chuckles* You seem to be sharper than we thought...
