Renault is a questing Bretonnian Knight of the Realm, riding out to seek out monsters monsters and demons to slay in hopes that he might become a grail knight through his efforts.
He fights from horseback almost as often on foot, wielding either a lance and shield or his heavily ornate greatsword. Heavy armored plate can be seen underneath his lavish surcoat, displaying his personal heraldry.

When not in his armor he wears outfits denoting him as minor nobility.
