Magda never took the family business, seriously. As the youngest daughter of 9 children, She didnt expect to inherit any of her parent's vineyards. So she took to first serving wine, drinking wine came not long after and by the time she came of age, was a bit of a lush. She rather fancied herself a singer and storyteller. Although pleasing to listen to and even more so to look at... She was no where near talented enough to make much of a name for herself.  She did become locally popular in the taverns and fest halls as an entertainer and after a few drinks at the end of her shift... often someone's "date" for the remainder of the evening.
All that changed when invaders came with strange warriors, the murdered all they encountered and razed fortifications, simple businesses and homesteads regardless of whether the people attempted to drive them off, or as her family did...surrendered hoping for leniency. Their screams mingled with those of the local militia in their death cries... Not long after, they were defeated and driven back to their world.  Magda became sullen and brooding. Everyone she knew and loved were dead. She longed for death, but couldn't bring herself to take her own life. She took to darker pursuits to get by and was often seen in shady locales amongst shadier company.
