Spawned in the bowels of the Abyss, E'zryienne or Ryi as she has come to prefer was a warrior.  Fighting to overthrough numerous worlds and pull their denizens into the dark Abyss.  

As a leiutenant in Lolths army of demons she proudly conquered those that stood before her.  Until a fateful day, another battle, another field, when a band of valiant warriors stood before her troops and slaughtered all in their wake.  Terribly wounded in the battle, Ryi, woke in a tent, wounds bandaged, and her armor and weapons near by.  

The leader of the opposing force sat calmly in chair watching her.  He offered her a chance to see the horrors her kind had visited upon the worlds.  He said he knew she would not change but it was in his nature to give her a chance before killing her.  

She wa shown the devastation of the people she had wrought for weeks.  She was treated with dignity and respect, never bound, or abused.  She saw children mutilated, burned and scarred.  

No demon ever worried of such things.  But then no demon had ever been shown such things in such a way by such a man as this.  He had a kindness in him that somehow reached deep within her.  

After 3 weeks their camp was attacked by demons attempting to free Ryi.  The demons were driven back, however the warrior was fatally wounded.  As he lay dieing, he looked to her and told her he believed she was not like them, somehow he always had.  With those words he died.

Ryi torn with feelings she never had experienced went into a rage.  Grabbing her weapon she pursued the fleeing demon attackers.  When she caught up to them she became pure rightious fury as her blade cut deep as her songs spun about them.  When her rage ended she stood among her breathren numerous small wounds, and realized she had just freed herself from a terrible prison.  

Alone and outcast from all in the world she seeks peace and happiness.  Finding joy in the songs she singss and the music she plays.  But... from time to time when she can take the presence of evil no longer, she ventures forth and fights back those that would harm the world she has come to love so dearly.  

A demon she may be, she devotes her life to the kindness one man showed her by believing in her.
