This man is very tall and has not an ounce of body fat on him. If it wasn't for the toned, lean muscle, he would almost look malnourished.

His body is covered in intricate tattoos, depicting various nautical symbols interspersed with runes.

His clothing is usually faded and wind-worn. The fabric beaten down by the spray of salt from years on the sea.

When he speaks, his voice is deep and raspy, like one who has perhaps rolled one too many tobacco sticks. Sometimes his voice is too loud, or - sometimes, he has been accused of being too quiet.

One thing is for certain though. He speaks common - or something like it.

Many years on the sea have left his skin sun-browned and rough. The thick spray of sea salt has caused his hair to dread somewhat.  

All of the above serves to give him a rugged, rough appearance.
