Background Story (anyone with contacts in Amn, Daggerford, or Baldurs Gate would be able to learn the following with a DC (lore/contacts) of 17) They are twins, that much is obvious. Identical twin halflings, of the Strongheart Clan, which is known for being taller than the other clans, almost as tall as the smaller elves. Coming from a close-knit family of nine, the twins were the youngest of the siblings and the only set of twins. They, their five brothers and parents lived in the city of Secomber, in the Western Heartlands along the Sword Coast, east and a little north of Daggerford. Their parents arranged for Twyla to attend the school at the Temple of Yondalla in Baldurs Gate, and for Starla to learn to control and gain mastery of her arcane skills at the school of the arcane, also in Baldurs Gate. The plan was that when they reached adulthood and completed their schooling, they would return to their home village. Twyla would become the village priestess at the temple that was, at that time, being built, and Starla would aid the family businesses with her arcane skills, probably opening an apothecary shop. They found a merchant couple from Mulholland who offered to provide room, board, and an allowance in exchange for maid and cook services within the household, with time allotted for school and studies. Unfortunately, there existed a darker side of the benefactors as the Mulhollandi couple were active in the slave trade. A pair of taller, blonde halflings was too good a prospect of gold to pass up, and plans for a quick "snatch and sell" were made almost as soon as the couple laid eyes on the twins. A sale was arranged for the pair, unbeknownst to either the twins or their family, and their transport to the auction block arranged in secret. Secrets are often uncovered, and Starla overheard a portion of the plans. The two escaped into the night, with the intent of making their way to the temple, arranging for help and escaping back home. The chase was on as their room was found empty with tied sheets leading from window to back alley. The twins boarded a ship, in hopes of escaping to Daggerford, and then back to Secomber, but somehow ended up in Athkatla, the capitol city of Amn. They were almost captured there, on the docks of the merchant city, as the Mulhollandi merchants had allies in Amn. Halflings are a race that tend to their own, and the idea of four "tall ones" following a pair of their girls did not sit well with the halflings manning the docks. One longshorehin rolled a barrel "accidentally" down the gangplank of the ship he was tending, which smashed into a crate, toppling over three ladders with the harborworkers now in a complete uproar. The result of the antics of the longshoremen halflings was tumultuous confusion and distracting events, and the twins were able to escape onto another ship, headed for parts unknown. Thus, after another week or so at sea, two now very unsettled girls arrived on the docks of the Isle of Saban. RED LIGHT: Scat, Vore, Animals, Animal Cocks, Blood sports, urine.
