With dusky dark grey skin, silvery white hair and sinister iridescent magenta eyes, Arawn's drow ancestry is easily noticeable. His moves are quick and fluid like a shadow. Not the strongest of men, he is nonetheless well-built and in shape.

Some say that he had to escape the Underdark cities due to a failed rebellion against Lolth's hierarchy; others that he is gifted with the rare ability known as 'Corellon's blessing', the ability to change one's sex at will -- a power that could be the end of the Lolth-controlled drow hierarchy. As such, Arawn keeps two separate identities for his male and female personas.

If the rumours are to be believed, he serves the Masked Lady -- a divine being born out of strife between the drow god of shadows, Vhaeraun, and his twin sister, Eilistraee, the goddess of the moon.
