Zesrae was born a noble, but to a minor house.  Unfortunately for her, she did not fit in well among the priestesses of her family, but rather felt an attraction towards arcane magic.  She slipped away to for a while, hoping to learn things in other lands that would be hard to do at home with her station.  Then a chance encounter at the library in Sinfar disrupted her plans, apparently forever.
