Summary

Minor devil from the Eighth Layer, Cania, looking for a master to serve in the mortal realm. Believes the weak are the rightful property of the strong, but also that sentient property should be cultivated, not treated as disposable (though only because treating it as disposable is inefficient).

Will betray a master she thinks has gotten too weak, unless you do some serious brainwashing (or get her to fall in love - she IS capable of that). Make sure to keep her on a tight leash (preferably literally!)

May decide to make a good character her master in the hopes of pulling them to the dark side, if she thinks they're wasting their strength on good deeds instead of seizing power.

Physical Description

Bast's short stature and petite form make her easy to overlook - a fact that irritates Bast as much as she finds it useful. Her waist is so small a man could easily cup his hands around its entire circumference.

Her skin and hair are almost identical in color - white like the eternal snow of the Layer of Hell from which she hails - making it difficult to discern where one begins and the other ends. Her enormous ears, covered in soft fur, poke out from beneath an unkempt mane of long, snow-white hair. They're permanently drooping downwards, giving her visage a somewhat mopish appearance. A single, softly glowing amber eye pokes out from between her bangs, the other covered by an eyepatch. Despite the fact that that eye is missing, were she to take off the eyepatch, one would see the empty socket glows even more intensely than the other.

An extremely long, rather dextrous tail pokes out from underneath Bast's lacy skirts. It's as long as her whole body, and significantly stronger than either of her two arms - not that that's saying much, as Bast's body is almost devoid of muscle.

Bast's flesh is soft and superhumanly smooth, with nary an imperfection to be found. Despite her status as an Ice Devil, it's pleasantly warm to the touch, too - though she can choose to have it become freezing cold if it suits her.

Personality

She'll be your slave, in exchange for your soul.

Bast doesn't want to be in charge, to be at the top of the hierarchy. This makes her an outlier in Hell, where it seems even the lowest Lemure is plotting to become an Archdevil. That's not to say Bast doesn't want power and influence - she'd rather just be an archdevil's favorite concubine and favored advisor. She'd still have thousands of slaves at her beck and call, there'd just be less people trying to kill her.

While she insists she just isn't interested in painting a target on her back, perhaps her greatest motivation for this behavior is that she exhibits an almost paradoxical lack of self-confidence for one with such high regard for herself. If there's one thing Bast finds scary, it's having to make her own decisions. She'd rather obediently follow the commands of someone stronger than her.
